Cutaway Screw Pumps
Screw pumps are a type of positive displacement pump that use one or more screws to move fluid along the screw axis to the pump outlet. Screw pumps have many different variations and design for different applications. They are typically used to pump high viscosity fluids, in offshore and marine applications and for special application such as those where foaming needs to be minimised.
The CPU-SP cutaway screw pump uses a new industrial multi-screw pump, cut away to clearly show the inlet, outlet, screws and bearings, allowing students to easily visualise pump operation and identify the main pump components.
