Cutaway Spring Safety Relief Valves
Safety relief valves are used in industry for protecting thermal and flow systems. There are two main types of relief valve; pressure relief valves (PRV) and pressure safety valves (PSV).
A safety relief valve automatically releases a substance from a system when the pressure or temperature exceeds a preset limit. They are widely used the petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, natural gas, power generation and other industries where fluids are processed under pressure or at temperature.
The CVA-SA series of cutaway spring safety relief valves uses new swing check valves that are cut away to show the inlet, outlet, spring, seat disc, disc holder and nozzle, allowing students to easily visualise valve operation and identify the main valve components.
